One beauty about living along the coast (unlike the Midwest) is that the kids and I have been able to collect a large number of shells. This afternoon, I sat out in the patio under the warm sun, streaming Christmas music, all while transforming a few oyster shells into Santa Claus ornaments. This was an easy DIY and it was quite therapeutic making these while hiding from the kids.
